Alumnos desde 8vo básico a 4to medio, que rindieron examinaciones estandarizadas (KET, PET & FCE) de la universidad de Cambridge, recibieron la certificación de sus niveles de inglés en la ceremonia realizada en nuestro establecimiento el pasado viernes 8 de mayo

Students from 8th through to 12th grade, recieved their certification last week during a ceremony especially held for this occasion.

We thank parents for their constant support and the English HS teachers for their commitment.

I’d like to start by expressing how grateful I am for the opportunity that the school has given me to not only take the FCE test, but also be able to learn more about the English language, and practise it, every day. My personal experience with English hasn’t always been a good one. When I was a child, my mother often told me that learning a second language would open doors. I didn’t agree with her at that time, because I thought “I am living in Chile, a Spanish-speaking country, I’ll do just fine”. But at that moment I was just being stubborn, not really thinking about the benefits of being fluent in English. Long story short, she enrolled me in every English course she knew of until I ended up here, in Eagles’ College. What’s special about this school is that it gives you all the tools to learn to COMUNNICATE in English. I emphasize this word, because what I’ve noticed about other schools and institutes is that they teach you to translate English to Spanish and vice versa, but they don’t help you develop basic skills such as reading and listening comprehension. Here, teachers genuinely care about your learning and they want you to progress as much as you can. They are giving us more complex tasks and homework so that when we do the real test we can say that it was a piece of cake. But your success is not only responsibility of your teachers, you have to do your part too! Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way, you lose nothing by doing this examination, and if you practise more for it I can assure you that the results will show your effort. When I arrived here, I knew nothing of English and look where I am now, if I could do it then you are capable as well.
